On Friday 20th October Danny, Alfie, Freddie, Senan, Tommy and Keelan went to the Karate World championships in Kilkenny. 122 people went from Ireland. Overall there were over 1000 competitors and there were 22 different countries.
Some of us got medals. Danny got gold, Alfie got bronze, Freddie came fourth, Senan got silver and bronze, Tommy got bronze and Keelan got bronze. Someone from Ireland came off on a stretcher because someone kicked him in the throat and he couldn’t breathe.
On Thursday there was the opening ceremony. On Sunday there was the finals and the party after all the competitions. It was on at 8pm and finished at 11 o clock. We had a great time.
